Dr. David Heffer, D.C.
Vice President
|
Fourteen years ago when I had the opportunity to
relocate my family to western New York there were 3 major reasons why I
chose Irondequoit, family ties, the Irondequoit Public Library and the
small school districts. I am a doctor of chiropractic, my grandfather
(Norris W. Heffer, DC) was born and raised in Irondequoit, as were his
children (Robert N. Heffer, DC [my father] and Doris A. Blake {Heffer},
DC [my aunt]).
From my personal observation of the volume of patrons at
all hours of the day and evening, combined with the genuine interest by
the staff, it was apparent to me that the Irondequoit Public Libraries
were the place to be. After establishing my practice in Irondequoit, I
applied to be a Trustee of the Irondequoit Public Library. In December
of 1998 I was selected to fill a vacant position on the Library Board
of Trustees. It is a privilege to serve as part of that great American
institution, the public library.

Irondequoit home for 8 years. After working 9 years in
retail management, she went back to school for her Master of Library
Science Degree and is currently the Teen Services Librarian at the
Fairport Public Library. Active in a variety of state and
national library associations, serving on Executive Boards and multiple
committees, Stephanie is passionate about libraries and the patrons
they serve. Stephanie currently serves as the Library
Board's Liaison to the Friends of the Irondequoit Public
Library and as Secretary for the Irondequoit Library Foundation.

Ms. Lynanne H. Wehner
Board Member
|
Lynanne and her family
have been residents of the Town of Irondequoit for over 18
years. Her involvement with the Library started with taking her
children there weekly when they were young. She also was a member
of a community based Library Facilities study group that put together a
written report around 10 years ago.
As a working Architect and a member of the Library Board of Trustees'
Lynanne feels that she can contribute her knowledge base to the day to
day issues of our aging facilities and hopefully can be a help with the
design process for renovation of the current facilities or the design
of a new one.
